Beyond the fairgrounds where will be fitted the best international optics and cameras companies, it is our pleasure to dedicate a specific area where it will be hosts the most important naturalistic photo contest in the World: the WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR EXHIBITION 2004.

This show is organized by the Natural History Museum of London and the BBC Wildlife Magazine and it’s the result of an annual contest, which exists since 21 years, which gathers the best international naturalistic photographers.

The contest, started in 1964 with only 3 categories, has grown up passing from the original 500 pictures to the actual 18.000 pictures, becoming, also thanks to the BBC Wildlife Magazine help, an international contest. Actually the show wanders all over the World, through 38 countries, including U.S.A., Brazil, Spain, Australia, China, Morocco.

There will be available more than 90 pictures, divided into about 15 categories, that will represents birdlife, mammals, flora, etc., as seen as only the ability of the professional photographers can.

During the exhibition it will be possible to attend, escorted by the photographers of Delta in focus, national professionals who has already worked in the PO Delta Park, to photograph workshops. These workshops will take place both at the fairgrounds and directly on site, in this way, after a first introductory session, the photographer will be enable to have an incredible experience directly in the valley. For the more expert one, there will be the opportunity to reserve night sessions too. The workshops want to be an occasion to bring the audience to the natural world through the emotions given by a lens. Also, with the event "Follow the Delta’s routes" intended for the younger audience, will be organized lessons of naturalistic photo in order to push as many young people as possible to approach to this form of art.

And also for amateurs, keens and experts we have organized the 2nd edition of the naturalistic photo contest Delta in Focus (click here to seee the Delta in focus 2004 awards), with attractive prizes offered by the most important optic and cameras companies which attends at the exhibition.

In the night, to who that won’t attend at the photo night session, there will be the possibility to attend at the Audiovisual dissolving projections of the Delta in Focus photographers, with the opportunity to discuss about technical and assembly aspects, a debate for experts and not, always fantastic.

Those who love to paint nature with colours and brushes can take part in the workshop on nature painting held by the famous artist HANS LARSSON, who will teach you all the tricks to become a wildlife painter.
