Following last year success, as shown by positive opinions expressed unanimously by exhibitors and the high number of visitors, the Promoting Committee, consisting of the Po Delta Park of the Region Emilia Romagna, the Local Development Agency Delta 2000, the Provincial Authorities of Ferrara and Ravenna, the Municipalities of Comacchio, Ravenna, and Cervia, the Agency for the Promotion of Tourism in Emilia Romagna and the Chambers of Commerce of Ferrara and Ravenna, officially announces the International Po Delta Birdwatching Fair 2005, which will take place in Comacchio (FE) from April 28th to May 1st 2005.

Participants in last year’s Fair will find the following innovations:

•  more room for the commercial sector, with a bigger exhibitors’ area devoted to various sectors (optics, photography, publishing, sports, leisure time, environmental education, facilities to set up birdwatching areas or nature paths, etc.);
•  a stronger effort in supporting environmental associations at national and international level through a more regular form of cooperation;
•  new exhibition pavilions near Valle Fattibello;
•  considerable room devoted to environmental education and awareness-raising activities for the young;
•  great interest in photography with the second photographic exhibition of international value;
•  the commitment to further enhance the quality of scientific events;
• workshops and demonstrations.

The exhibition area will host the most qualified companies of the following sectors:

•  optics and photography;
•  Italian and foreign tour operators and travel agencies;
•  Italian and European National Parks;
•  environmental associations and institutions;
•  environmentally-friendly vehicles;
•  specialised press;
•  specialised clothing;
•  leisure time equipment and accessories;
•  services to environmentally-significant sites;
•  environmental education agencies, etc.
